Henderson County Youth Council (HCYC) is a student led and driven, county-wide youth organization supported by United Way of Henderson County. The council consists of representatives from all public high schools including the Innovative High School and Early College and is open to youth enrolled in home schools.

What does the Henderson County Youth Council do?

The Henderson County Youth Council (HCYC), researches, surveys, and initiates projects that benefit young adults in Henderson County. HCYC provides an opportunity for young people to learn about and put into action community wide planning as well as enhance leadership skills and responsibility.

Henderson County Youth Council Goals:

• Initiate community service projects and social events for young adults in Henderson County
• Advocate for youth leadership opportunities
• Advocate for inclusion of youth perspective in local government decision making
